Our stay was magical from the start! The cozy pub atmosphere welcomed us, and the food was next-level delicious. Conversing with friendly locals over drinks was a highlight.

had a lovely 2-night stay! the atmosphere was perfect, not too loud and not too quiet. our room was super clean and the bed was really comfy. brekfast was delish with great ingredients, and the couple running it were so friendly! we also enjoyed some really good ales at the bar!

We had a lovely time hiking up Warton Crag with the kids. The views were breathtaking from the top! It was a fantastic way to bond as a family. Janet and James were really helpful, sharing tips for local activities. The cozy ambiance added to our fun family getaway.

In my wife’s opinion, breakfast could have offered more variety for kids.

I thoroughly enjoyed my stay at the Washington in Carnforth. The room I reserved, a Double Room with Private Bathroom, felt clean and had a comfortable bed. The ambiance of the pub was cozy and inviting, perfect for relaxing after a long day. Breakfast exceeded my expectations, featuring high-quality ingredients that were cooked to perfection. It’s worth noting that the breakfast hours are quite limited, only from 8:30 to 9:00, which might be a bit tight for some guests. The hospitality was decent, though initial interactions could have been a touch warmer. I felt a bit rushed when trying to figure out the breakfast entrance. Despite this, I appreciated the friendliness of the couple running the pub, and they even offered a lift to the station when I needed it. There were a few minor inconveniences, like the small size of the en suite shower and inconsistent meal quality on different nights.
